Top 5 Navigation and Maps Apps Performance in Panama, Q2 2022

The second quarter of 2022 saw varying performances for the top navigation and maps apps in Panama. Here, we break down the weekly downloads and active user trends for the top 5 apps in this category, based on data from Sensor Tower.

Waze Navigation & Live Traffic experienced a fluctuating trend in weekly downloads, starting at approximately 5.9K and peaking at around 7.2K in mid-April. By the end of June, downloads had stabilized around 4K. The app maintained a robust base of weekly active users, consistently above 200K, peaking at nearly 224K in mid-April before slightly declining to about 209K by the end of the quarter.

Google Maps showed a more stable download pattern, with numbers hovering between 1.4K and 2.8K throughout the quarter. The highest downloads were recorded in mid-April with approximately 2.8K. Active users remained steady, averaging around 124K each week, with a slight peak of nearly 127K in early April.

Google Earth had a consistent download trend, averaging around 1.5K downloads per week, with a peak of 1.7K in mid-April. The app's active users also remained relatively stable, averaging about 12K each week, with minor fluctuations peaking at 12.7K in mid-June.

GPS, Maps, Voice Navigation saw a decline in weekly downloads, starting from around 1.1K at the end of March to approximately 449 by the end of June. Active users followed a similar declining trend, starting from around 2.6K and dropping to approximately 1.5K by the end of the quarter.

Fluyapp had a varying download trend, beginning with approximately 1.2K downloads at the end of March, dropping to around 356 in mid-April, and then stabilizing around 500-600 downloads per week towards the end of June.
